Yes, don't know if it's been posted here before, but it's Stigge from the Danish band D.A.D. 
He only plays 2-strings, and he has all kinds of weird ones. I think that one is really funny though, but I sometimes get tired of remarks like "oh, clearly another Photoshop job", because it is really like that...! I heard that the tuners actually work - man, they're HUGE !!

Well this thing is cool. I am digging the clear cab's in the background too. It looks like there is some crazy inlay on the neck too.

Yeah, I saw that... the drummer's kit is also acrylic... cool. I bet those aren't light!!
I understand it from the perspective of Mark Sandman playing 2-string slide bass. More than 2 strings can be unwanted when it comes to string contact.
In THIS context, I'm with you.
Mark Sandman was the only one who pulled this off IMO
The rest of these guys seem kind of "gimmicky"
I don't know, I am kind of biased because sandman's technique had class and was a great songwriter too.

I dont know about you guys but it would be cool to have a 1 or 2-string fretless bass around. You know a whamola thingy. Easy to move around and fun experimentation.

How do you suppose those 2 strings are tuned? It looks like there would be a hell of a jump (almost an octave?) between them.
