Hey Justin,
I am hoping to audition for a major label artist and one of the requirements is to send a demo. I have recordings of my playing with a few acts, but nothing I am proud enough of to send as a demo...plus they are not my songs.
So, how do a bass player go about making a demo? Do I write/record a few tunes of all different genres to show flexibility? Are they just looking for other people's tunes that I have played on? I really don't know where to start or what they are really looking for... is it like a film makers reel, but for music?
Thanks!
