Creative name for a horn section?

Sorry to report that there are already several bands using the name The Horn Dogs

I was afraid that would be the case... it's too good to pass up really, isn't it? At any rate, there's so much to choose from here apart from what I was coming up with that was variations on:

(location) (brass or horn) (group unit) :rollno:
i.e. The Valdosta Horn Section

Depending on the sensibilities of my trumpet man, it may yet still come down to that... but let's hope not.

Sometimes they just come up. I played w/ a 4 piece horn section I dubbed "The Doublestuffs" because of the way they lined up. Two white dudes in the middle with black man bookends. It stuck and they all loved it.

I would call it "B-flat", but use the flat symbol instead of the word. That is if your sax player is playing tenor. If alto, then it still works with B-flat and E-flat in your key signature. You could make it look cool.
