I found his interview in the April issue of Guitar World... I think this is the quote that everyone is talking about. what a jerk

"Other bands hate us because they're jealous, plain and simple. They see us selling a ton of records and they see themselves putting their heat and soul into what they do and they're not selling records."

Well, I've yet to find someone who is a "cool" Creed fan. Maybe it's because anyone who knows anything about music knows they suck, and that there are better bands in that category of music?
And they don't buy their package deal (as listed in previous post)?

Reason why Creed are so big is because the majority of american citizitens are tools who listen to whatever they're fed on the radio and are too lazy to find somehting that is truly deeply GOOD.

Not to fond of either Creed nor Nirvana. But I do like some songs out of both bands. Its just they never really did anything for me. From what I've heard of the Creed Guitarist, he sounds a bit cocky. But hell, Who'ever likes them likes them. And I thought this was about the bassist....


Rah, sorry if I step on anybody's toes but hey, to me, They arent really that intresting to me. Ta ta

Creed.. I liked their first album, "My Own Prison", and also bought the second album, "Human Clay". I found the second one not nearly as good as the first and my interest in the band stopped. But recently Creed's press has been all about dissing other bands and praising themselves. While Creed's musicianship certainly doesn't SUCK and the band doesn't SUCK, the way they are handling the fame that they've achieved does SUCK extremely much. If they'd keep their mouths shut- they'd be a respectable band.

I completely agree with what your saying. I'm sure what's coming out in the press wasn't intended that way. But if you or I ever exploded like they did I think we would make a mistake or two along they way. Remember how Lennon said that "the Beatles are bigger then Jesus".

Umm...one small difference there temp. The Beatles had the goods to back it up. The Beatles are still hailed as one of the greatest bands ever. Creed is the "next big thing". And we all know how most "next big things" turn out.

Off teh topic...how do ya'll do that quoting thing in bold? That is super-hip.

By no means do I want to Imply that the beatles and creed are anywhere near the same catergory, that would be blasphmey, for me anyway. I was just pointing out how people talk out of their a++ when there on the spot.

Being humble is not an easy thing to do especially if your constantly being told that your the best. What I'm saying to everyone is just give the boys some slack, there not perfect and there not the best.

Oh yeah, the quote thing go back to the post you want to quote and look right at the top of the post your going to see some icons. It's the one that looks like a newspaper or something, just click on it , it will bold it for you.

hey, remember when fred durst and scott stapp were in a little tiff and stapp challenged durst to a boxing match, and durst backed out citing his peaceful beliefs? man, do i ever wish that went through. either way, ONE of those people would have gotten a good ass-kicking. maybe even permanent vocal damage, somehow. oh well.

You guys usually know what you are talking about so I'll take your word for it that there are better musicians in that genre of music, but regardless IMO they still sound really good as a band and that's what matters. You guys say that anyone who knows anything about music wouldn't like Creed, yet Jason Oldstead just said she does so obviously that isn't true.

I don't not like people who listen to them, but Creed just mixed recycled Metallica riffing with Vedder-style vocals. I think Creed are just "cock rock" for the millenium, if ya get my drift. And when John Lennon said that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus, he meant about how big of fan base they had. Everybody loved the Beatles back in the '60s, they were HUGE.

To me, Creed are quite possibily one of the worst rocks bands around. For a start, I hate the singers eddie vedder like vocals (and I like Eddie Vedders voice), and chese rock riffs and lyrics.

If you like them, good for you, but I am offended when they come on my tv or radio. They have no place in my heart or soul.

Ps.

Why do a lot of american singers now try to sing like Eddie Vedder?
