*cries*

1. Any 11 year old who has Custom guitars, Gibsons and a EBMM at his age is extremely spoiled. (And probably a brat).
2. Saying bassists play the same string over and over again is because that's all he (and guitarists) can do.
3. Saying he will be in a big band is a complete lie.

That kid will never understand: "It ain't what you got, it's what you can do".
And that review was probably written by a perv who wasn't kiddy fiddling at the time.

The vast majority of people used to say (& some still do say even today) that paintings made by artists such as impressionist painter Monet and cubist painter Picasso look like they were painted by the blind, mentally deficient or that just clearly don't know how to paint....

lol spoiled brat thinks he doesn't need lessons. When he gets to be 17 he'll know better...maybe. Who knows, maybe it's just the 9 years of piano lessons speaking through me that music lessons are important in learning an instrument swifter and in the correct manner...dang 11 year old punks. And I thought 7th graders were bad.

kinda reminds me of this thread:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294127&highlight=birthday

only difference is that the guy in that thread probably deserved it and is 10 years older :D

Bwahaha, what a toss pot he is eh :smug:

Difference being 21 is a notable (get out of my house) land mark.

I can play (i think?), either that or ive wasted ~6 years of my life :hiding:

(also, the ones i got werent new, well, they were new in condition, but they were bought roughly half price for what they go in shops + they are the only music pieces of gear that have ever been bought for me)

But damn it, i wanted to make a comment to my thread!

On another note, i reckon thats a fake review !

At GC yesterday:
Guy: "Wow, there's a lot of these."
Me: "Yeah, basses are a breed unto themselves. Who are you shopping for?"
Guy: "Well, my son just wants a bass...he's already got an electric and an acoustic guitar, and now he's convinced he wants to play bass."
Me: "Good choice on his part."
Guy: "We'll see...so now I'm just looking for a good one."
Me: "All depends on what he likes and how much you're looking to spend."
Guy: "Well, it's kind of a 'whatever he wants, he gets' situation."

I tried to continue the conversation without hitting the guy with the Pedulla 5'er he was checking out.
