Critique my band's website

Things I liked.

- Very clean
- easy navigation
- easy to find out when you're playing

Things I didn't like

- song automatically starting (as a rule I hate this)
- slideshow on the main page (it took awhile to load and I'm on a super high speed connection at work)

Overall it's very nice and my complaints are simply personal preference.

I thought it was cool.
I would change the logo so it wouldn't appear so 'stock' or 'templated'. Maybe some original design.
And like MNAirHead said, the action pictures are good but I'd also include some promo pics...but please no Hawaiian shirts..please. It just screams your going to say "How you guys feelin' tonight..I can't hear you..!" as your opening statement to start a show.

Very nice, now for a suggestion...

Have the photos zoom out faster, and spend less time on each photo. This creates more information & generates more excitement,
or better compliments the anticipation felt by viewers.

I'd have the video not autoplay...maybe even be on a different page. If you keep it on the same page move your fb\twitter box and next show thing above it.

I'd change your about page to a Bio page and make a separate page actually listing some of the songs you do and having a few recordings put up on an additional music samples page.

On my lunch break so I'll just note the landing page.

+Next gig obvious
-High bandwidth media on landing page. Let user decide to play anything.
-Logo uses Rockband video game art. (unless Nerdcore is your audience.)
-No short paragraph about who you are (genere/location/covers or originals)
-no contact info in my face
-no MUSIC page to listen if I want

I'd put the first paragraph, contact #, and photos from ABOUT page on the landing page, replacing the video.
Move the video to a Media (Music and Videos) page.
and make sure each page has the same header with Logo and comntact info up top, Page links beneath.

sorry for being terse -it looks good, but the IMHO wrong info is being pushed to the front.

The computer im on wont allow me to view your page. (work comp.) however based on what everyone is saying i would have to agree that those are the things i would look for also. big one being the contact info and media/video page. that lets the people choose to listen/watch any clips you have, if you think about it, if they are going from home page to the media/videos page....they are probally doing it to listen anyways so just make it available.
