I check out Musician's Friend's Stupid Deal of the Day from time to time...today they have a Crown X2000 power amp for $199. This amp puts out $450W/Side @ 4ohm.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with this amp? I see some x1000's selling here for $180. I love my heads, but I override my STM600's preamp when I play DB, plugging in my Fishman Pro Eq as a preamp. I imagine with the electric I could plug my Boss ME50B right in, and go to town.
What do you all think? Is this an amazing deal for a bassist, or should I pass? I am about 30/70 against, since I already own great pro equipment, but this is a small price to pay for potential unlimited future expansion possibilities.
And I only have a few hours to figure it out! Darn MF...
