Hello,
I finally got to test out my new crown xls 1002 today. I have it running through Brit trace elliott 4x10 and Tech 21 NYC di/pre. Lakland 5501, aguilar super doubles, aguilar 3tkp pre. Amp bridged is 700 watts into 8 ohms. It rocks! Thanks to the folks here for the pointers. For 230 bucks (demo at sw) you can't beat it. I figured I'd post for those considering the 1002 and wondering if it's enough power. It is...for me any way. Hook another 8 ohm cab and we are drawing 1100 watts, which I'll never need. I may use it in y input for outdoor patio speakers when not gigging...who knows. 215 watts per channel at 8 ohms then.
