Crown Xti + Ampeg B5R + SVT 810 = ????

I need help!

I am trying to figure out the proper way to hook up my newly purchased Crown Xti1000 to my Ampeg B5R to power my Ampeg SVT 810.

I know i'm supposed to use the Preamp out on the B5R and thats about it! I'm looking at Speakon ins and outs, XLR ins and outs 3/4 ect...

I would really love to use my new set up for practice tonight but i dont wanna start mashing things together if it means the possibility of destruction. Please show me the LIGHT! Any and all help appreciated.

I'll take a stab at this, since I have used the Crown XTI power amps, on the Ampeg amp you could use either the Di out to the Crown or you can use the Preamp amp out to the Crown, I believe the preamp- out will let you use the volume control on the ampeg, where as the DI out, I believe the volume control on the Ampeg will not control the DI volume output, you will have to build a cable to connect the Crown XTI, if your using 1/4" jack from the Ampeg, Crown has a drawing, in the owners manual, on how to build the cable, bridge the amp using the control menu, you'll have to buy/build a cable from the Crown's banana plug's output jacks/binding posts, to the 810 cabinet, that's how I use mine, but I use the VT Bass pedal board as a preamp, and I use the Crown XTI 2000

Does it work connecting the output on the power amp to an output on the head? If i'm using the 1/4 inch Preamp output on the head, should i be looking to hook it into an input on the power amp? I guess i just really dont understand the flow to hook the 2 up with my cab as well.
