Curious what you all think (pickguard color poll)

I used to have a Jazz that color, and I tried pearloid white and got annoyed with it, so I put the white back on and was much happier. I don't think any other color looks good with it, honestly.

I'd slay black, but since you don't have it, I'd say white pearloid. Anything over that boring tort.

In this particular case my vote goes to clear or no pickguard.

I'm not sure if it's the lighting or what, but the 'white' pearloid looks as if taking on the color of the body.

I'll pick that one, for it's tint shifting ability.

IMO cream pearl looks much nicer than white on most basses because it plays better with the tan-brown spectrum of maple/rw boards. I only prefer white if the board is essentially black. I have a custom cream pearl 'guard on my trans red/maple '98 Fender 5er for that reason and I love it. (FYI the bass pictured above is FS as I lean into BEAD 4 bangers).

On this bass you show here, black is the way to go. Glossy black is good and satin black is better.
Otherwise, I 'm a big fan of red tort, especially with natural finishes and 3 colors sunburst.

White Pearloid is almost never wrong.
