Current Fender American Standard Colors

I'd say we're overdue for some bright Barbie Pink, Banana Yellow, and Barney Purple on a few basses, what does everybody think. Ya with me? :D

Sure! :hyper:

What's 'Dark White'? The only white I'm seeing currently is Olympic White. Maybe he meant Vintage White, which they are not currently offering. Vintage White is one of my favorites, though.

Fender could also use some of the colors they haven't used for a while, like Seafoam Green, Shell Pink, Daphne Blue, Shoreline Gold. There's lots of them. They still need to keep Black, Candy Red (kandy kola), and 3TS, though.

Cool color choices in the American Standard series would be great, but I doubt we'll see that. Color is a powerful marketing tool that allows companies to "upsell" to more expensive models in order to get the more desirable feature/style. It's really a marketing calculation - e.g. how desirable can they make the AS series before they begin cannibalizing sales of more expensive models, and at the same time make the AS series as desirable as possible to sell as many of them as possible.
