According to his website, Curtis has a number of people working with him. In fact, it says his wife makes the Bisonics. Kudos to her. She makes a fine pickup.

I have the Bisonic in a Guild Starfire reissue, and it is superb. I used to have an original 1967 Starfire, but ended up selling it because the Reissue (with the Novak pickup) is so good. I appreciate that this is an old thread, but Curtis is still making pickups, so there seems to be no reason not to give them a review.

I forgot about this thread! A short while after posting my inquiry I bought an EB-BS (BiSonic under a mudbucker cover) from him, and yes, it is superb. I also acquired a secondhand BS-DS recently, and it too is fantastic. I’m glad we have builders out there doing something other than P and J clones!
