I think you guys are missing the whole thing here. This could PERFECTLY replicate a p, a j, and a MM.

No, it couldn't.

Each bass has a unique sound due to precise pickup placement, build type and geometry, woods, bridge design, even shape. Besides, having all those pickups will change how the strings vibrate, forever destroying your idea of a bass that covers all those sounds.

I guess you probably haven't heard the difference between a Fender Esquire and a Telecaster? Case in point.
