Chewing my hand off waiting for my MARCO custom jazz. After twenty some odd basses I figured I'd try to get all the ingredients in one bowl insofar as my main gig goes;

I only know one or two builders around the Maritimes. I won't mention any names, because one specific builder has had a few guitars/basses die/fall apart.

Ahhh, gotcha. Was just curious because of the turn around time. Figured it might be someone around here, since they'd probably have nothing else on the go.

I'm not too familiar with any builders out of the Maritimes anyway.

The neck will have the same specifications as a '60s Jazz bass (I believe): C shape, 7.25" fretboard radius, 1.5" width at the nut, and .830" thickness.

Dan said he will do very minimal aging of the body (just a few dings and slight forearm wear), as well as the neck. He will also tarnish the hardware for me. He's a great guy to work with and is full of enthusiasm.

If all goes well, he might see more business from me.

Dan was speaking with USACG and it should be shipping out early this week. Once Dan and Co. get their hands on it, it should be finished within two or three weeks. Then it gets shipped off to me.

I wish I could explain how giddy I am.

Bump for this thread. I just put some money down on my order of a custom fanned 6 to my picky specs from John Worrell. This cherry is probably going to end up the body. I cannot freakin' wait. I've been sitting on this idea and another for years now.
