Custom Bass Wait Support Group Needed [Part 3]

My build and wait are pretty small scale compared to most of you, mainly because I chose an already-built body and from a menu of options.
ACG Graft Finn 5:
A bit simpler than the average custom but it's what I most need at this moment (and what I can afford!). Wait time estimated at around 3 months.
It's the bottom of these three bodies:

- alder body
- black limba top
- rosewood fingerboard on maple neck
- 5-string, 18mm spacing
- P/J with passive electronics - volume, tone, four-way rotary switch
- black hardware

I'm not in a position to get another custom, but ACG would definitely get a close look from me if I could. They're fantastic looking and sounding instruments at a reasonable price.
Particularly when you're based in the UK, the Graft range are unbelievable value. Cheaper than MIA Fender (and some MIM) over here. Not to bash Fender, but I know what I'd rather have.

The ACG is killing.
The Guild-esque Stambaugh is truly a stand out.
Saw your other thread, and love all your decisions on this, especially the D style bridge.
(Though Id be curious to see how bottle-cap knobs would fit)
Woodwork is finished on the ACG headless niner:
Its getting a Tuxedo treatment; gloss with black everywhere but on the figured wood.

With the ACGs I'd just say we both have impeccable taste. 
Alan really does amazing work as shown by the number of ACG customers in this thread.
As I've said, the Retro Switcho is an awesome design. If finances allowed I'd tell Chris to make another for me with some kind of crazy sparkle finish. I can't wait to see that bass completed.
Oh and I thought about a lot of different knobs for the fretted hollowbody but the custom titanium knobs just really appealed to me. Bottle cap knobs would be very cool though.

Wow, cool thread and I'd forgotten to join back in. Since February I've been on the wait list for a Nordstrand vP5, ETA October. The pickup config is unusual, possibly unique -- I'll explain when I get it.
Aside from that, it's an active 5-string P-bass, like the other 5 in my collection (3 Sadowsky, 2 Benavente). Unlike the others, however, it'll have a quilt maple top. I'm a vintage kinda guy, but decided it would be okay to have one blingy bass in my collection.

This group really is a support group. I have been sitting around whining about having to wait 6 months. Then I start reading about the guys here having to wait in excess of a year and my spirits have risen quickly. Hang in there !
Pretty conservative build compared to some of the basses here. That said, I am nothing short of giddy.
I love my Dingwall Super J5 so much that I decided to add a fraternal twin of sorts. I still spend half my time gigging a Fender NAV 63 P. Wanted to just have a pair of Dings to cover anything and everything.
Super P5. Alder. Passive. Identical neck specs and construction to the SJ5. Pau Ferro fretboard. White. Baltic Amber PG. The only unusual aspect is that I ordered reverse P pick up configuration after receving some advice.
Makes my heart go pitter patter just looking at the mock up.
Ordered last month. Estimated delivery date is Novemeber 8th. This is akin to being a kid again and counting the number of days until Christmas.
Here is normal spec.

I have a Kenneth Lawrence Chamber Brase II on order. It is due in January ,so I'm six months in.The wait has not been bad at all.Until I get my first progress pic.
Specs are Ash Maple Ash neck,100 year old Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and pickup covers.Three piece body Walnut, Alder Walnut,and Brazilian Rosewood top.

I'm waiting on 2 Pete Skjold DE Whalebacks. One fretted and the other fretless. Expected wait time 10 to 12 months. They were ordered in April but started in May. I went to Pete's shop and we went over the details and selected all the woods and components He was great to deal with and a really nice person to be around.
I find myself thinking about their progress every once in a while. I quickly let it pass. It's a true test in practicing patience.
I've been selling off my basses in preparation for their arrival. My plan is to have just the two basses. I've already sold some really sweet basses. I have a few more to sell.

I do believe getting a Wal built is still a quoted 19 months
I had a Sadowsky NYC Will Lee built which took 13 months, got it a couple weeks ago and was very well worth it! During that time, it even went across the pond for Martin Sims to put on some side LEDs

Congrats! I think that will be very happy with the basses Pete builds for you. And I always enjoy a trip to Pete's shop. He's a cool guy to hang with, and his wood supply is awe-inspiring.
