Sorry man!![]()
Nordstrand vP5, ordered February, ETA October.
Per Adrian it didn't make it into the current batch of basses started, but he said to check back later this month for an update -- ETA should still be October. We shall see, I've got my fingers crossed.
I'm still in the club, though! In March of this year I ordered a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] fiver. Specs: alder body (pearl red), maple neck/board (no top dots), Luminlay side dots, 34.5" scale (standard for this bass), Nordstrand pickups (adjacent MM and reverse P), Aggie OBP1 preamp with passive tone control, black hardware, EVO fretwire.

A lot has happened since. The bass is now being painted, and after that there's final assembly. So, I might get the bass this month, but even if it's July then we're looking at just a four-month turnaround for a custom boutique. Not bad at all!
I'm normally prefer Fender-style/P-style basses, so this baby will be unique for me. Let me count the ways:
- Singlecut
- 24-fret
- Angled headstock
- Black hardware
- non-34" scale (34.5"
)
I've been dealing with Martin directly and he's been prompt, pleasant, and perfectly professional. Thanks also to TBer and frequent customer Marshall Perry for sharing his experiences with Martin Keith basses prior to my purchase. I'm excited!!
