Custom basses - need recommendations

I am willing to make basses (even more so for Canadians, because the exchange rate is killer right now) but I have issues with making a ying-yang fedora, or a thunderitter for that matter, LOL.

I think CT basses are my biggest influence, I have loved Les Claypool since the early '90s and I like Carl's approach to curves. I am just finishing a scroll bass for myself, and will post more picts when it is done. I don't have a reputation yet but I promise to be fair, hardworking, and I will always do my absolute best. I will never sacrifice quality for speed and will always use the best materials and components available to me. I do hope to earn a reputation one day, but everyone started somewhere now didn't they? If anyone has an objection to this shameless plug, I apologize and will keep it to PMs in the future, but I hope no one does as I am not spamming all the threads to get orders and then end up having a 3 year waiting list, LOL. AGB or Jessy, if you want drop me a line. All the best. Cheers.

P.S. I guess picts help (I hope Mock ups are alright) it has a 2 piece Walnut body, 1 piece Maple neck, Cocobolo fretboard, 34 inch scale, 24 frets, EMG pup, black Hipshot hardware, and Elixir medium gauge strings.

True, true. I love the sounds and designs of Foderas and CTs, but I'm not willing to spend an extra $5000 and wait an extra 3 years just for a custom bass.

I understand that. ( I am luckily no fan of either :D )
I personally just dislike "fakes" and would try to avoid that route if possible.
Perhaps design something yourself and have a good luthier build it for you.
It's fun!!

I'm one of Carl's biggest fans and own 3 of his basses. My number one bass is a 4 string CT.

Having said that, the "look" of his instruments have nothing to do with why I like them. My top 3 reasons for loving his instruments are (1) nice neck angle, (2) lightweight, (3) well balanced. So, I would caution anybody from trying to reproduce a CT bass by putting a funny-looking scroll on the upper horn, because that's a minor detail (IMHO of course). Trying to reproduce those other things I mentioned - now that's a little more challenging.
