I'm thinking that the next bass I build (for personal use) will be modeled after a custom color 1963 Fender Precision Bass. I have a few favorite custom colors, but really am "torn" between a few of them.

Inca Silver
Dakota Red
Burgundy Mist Metallic

Those are really the only ones I'm interested in.

That's where YOU come in ! Help me decide what color P Bass to build !

Here are pics of a few vintage Fender instruments in these colors -

Or like I posted in an earlier thread, go with a color Fender never used.
There are hundreds of pearls, candies, flakes and chameleon colors to choose from.

Be adventurous.

Thanks, but I prefer to stick with the classic Fender custom colors.

Painting a classic P Bass in some funky candy color would be like painting a fully restored 64 Riviera hot pink. It's like the little skinny girl that gets a double D boob job. It's ok to look at for a minute, but in the long run it just "doesn't work", at least not to my eyes. Everything has to be "balanced, and in its' proper place" !
