Sam, maybe I looked in the wrong places, but there is nothing about basses at that new Custom Shop site.

We're talking about this now on the thread I did to tell others about it.. I've since sent an email to Fender, as I think others should.. there is no mention of their basses on there, and that is probably an oversight, but nevertheless an unacceptable one!

I just picked one up just last week, thanks to fellow Tb'r Peter Parker. Just awesome! It's actually my first Fender bass. I've had a Sadowsky both NYC and Metro in the past, and currently have a Alleva Coppolo.

That is exactly what I would like to order. What do you think of it now that you've had it awhile? Is the B pretty good sounding? Playability easy? Lot of variability in tones w/EQ?

Just being Devil's Advocate, how much tone variation do you really want? Afterall, this is a Jazz Bass, do you want it to sound like something all together different?

I have a Lakland USA JO and it was hoping that the Fender CC5 would have additional/different tones in addition to the same as the Lakland....that's all.
