Customer service is alive and well!

Happy to say that there are companies and people out there who are doing it right.

Had a very minor issue with my Bergantino Forte recently. I sent an email to their general info address, got a very timely response from @Jim Bergantino who then went above and beyond to resolve the problem.

Love the amp and can't thank Jim enough for being around to follow up.

These are the kinds of people worth supporting.

Cheers!

Not bass related, but a buddy of mine asked me to repair his Line6 guitar amp. A couple of the controls needed replaced. I got on their website, found a tech support text number and thought what the heck. To my surprise, an actual human responded. I stated what was going on and asked for the part number/availability. They responded with varifing what I wanted and told me to order it from Full Compass.
Completely awesome service.
Amplifier repaired.

No surprise there. Jim Bergantino is a stand up guy. I’m primarily a Mesa guy with the Carbine M6 and the Subway TT800. Similar great customer service. And I love my SVT. If I add another head, it’ll be one of the Forte flavors. I love the Berg NV610 that I pair with the SVT. I put Genzler in that same class.

Or, the person that can't walk 10' to their mailbox from their driveway. Then they just block the opposing lane of traffic with their vehicle and grab their mail from the car. Way to go lazy ass.
Guilty as charged!.... :roflmao:

Although I'm in a neighborhood way out in the country. So I don't foul up the bicycles, motorcycles, golf carts, skateboarders, joggers, and oh yeah, the occasional car coming by too badly.

Well, it ain't a HOA covenant, yet.....😁😁

My Subie dims them automatically. So it ain’t me.
Getting off-topic, but we rented a Ford Transit passenger van for the last vacation trip with the kids. It was nicely equipped, including auto-dim headlights. I didn't even know it, but when it was getting dark, the headlights started dimming and brightening on their own. Very cool feature!

Being that my latest model vehicle is from 2009, I did not know that this was a thing. Sounds like a good feature to me!

It is sad that good customer service is so rare. All the more reason to treasure those who still know what it means and how to deliver it. :)
Yep. It’s awesome. I spend several days a month at a place we have in a mountain community. Two lanes for eighteen miles to connect to I5. One less thing to worry about while driving on a mountain road with lots of curves.

There are still some great companies that make customer service a priority. Outside the bass amp world, Hipshot is one. As for retailers, Sweetwater has never let me down. Neither has Zzounds. GC and MF? Not so great IME.

But to the point of the thread, you can call Bergantino and ask for Jim. Sometimes the reply is “this is Jim.”

My only recent need for customer service was for my Arkham Ultralinear amp. It turned out that the 12AX7 in the V2 position was very microphonic after traveling from Maine to Missouri. Adam promptly sent out three new candidates for the position. The winner had been residing in a Baldwin organ for years. Micah stands behind his amps 100%. The way he builds them (to last a lifetime), I don't ever expect to have any more need of repair or service...

I bought a used Countryman Type 85 DI a few years back and found someone had soldered a jumper in across the battery terminals.

I emailed Countryman tech support to find out if there was a legitimate reason to do that or if I could just remove it without issue.

Countryman emailed back within a day telling me I could feel free to send it to them to look it over.

I explained again that this was purchased used and asked what their bench fee was going to be.

He replied - and I’m paraphrasing here - “You know, so few people ever have problems with these that, unless there’s a really serious problem, we usually just fix them for free.”

I was already a fan of their products, but that one email from tech support made sure I was a customer for life.
