Customer treatment

is top shelf. I managed to stop in on New Year's Eve while on family vacation. Unfortunately, due to other events and a GPS that must have been on something, I didn't get there until 10 minutes before closing. Still, Beaver and co. gave me that time to look around, ask questions, etc. When it was time to close up, Beaver sent me on my way with one of his Superchops DVDs, a CD, and Dave LaRue's new CD since I'm not local and can't just pop in another day.

I realize that these are a very small part of their business, but I appreciated the gesture and the conversation.

I was hoping to be done with Florida as a vacation spot for a few years, but I think I'll have to change that just so I can have a reason to get back to BC and spend some real time there.

Anyway, if customer service is as important to you as equipment selection and price, then be sure to pay BC a visit if you're anywhere near Orlando.

I've only dealt with Bass Central online/phone. The first time was a year or so ago when I bought a Sadowsky Metro 4-string from 'em. That experience was so over-the-top good that I've gone on to make two other major purchases from BC. In terms of selection and customer service -- and price competitiveness too -- there's BC and there's everyone else. Sure would love to hit the store sometime (I'm three states away).

I was in town for Christmas vacation with the family as well, though I didn't have quite as good experience as you I did find them friendly and they just left me alone to check out the gear without any pressure to buy. I did not buy that day but that experience did make for future purchases from them starting this next week.
