Cut and Combine

Nice gonzo carpentry. My OCD perfectionism would impel me to "improve" things aesthetically, which would make no difference to how it plays. I agree though, now you are screwed. Nobody seems to build one guitar once they realize its mainly the desire to do it, a handful of tools, and time.

At long last...

Got it back yesterday from the tech. Very fitting to get it back on my birthday, a sweet little gift to me.

Plays well. Bass is setup with a bright medium gauge string and the SG has 12's since im used to a thicker string (see the baritone behind it).

The EQ on the bartolini preamp I installed seems to do about nothing. Oddly, the EQ on the original bass did about nothing, so im thinking maybe the soapbars just suck and need to be replaced. Otherwise, the blend is great and the push pull is a nice feature.

The only thing that sucks now is I'm gonna have to buy another keeley pro comp for the guitar because I dont want to combine signals at all.

Sweet! Looks fantastic.
Would you mind if I shared a picture of this funky fusion?
I know a couple cats in NY who might get a kick out of it... (Larry Hartky is one of them) :smug::roflmao:
