CWB 16: Taking Canada

nice ... guitar-bass-drums-female vocal - sounds like another band I know. Puts a lot of pressure on the bass player.

They're doing a bang up job. BG sounds amazing. And he has dispelled all my Rick's are trebly ideas except maybe one.
Sounded awesome.
Our BassGen is all growed up and playing in a BAND, Mama. Just lookit him go!!
The drummer better hit pretty hard. BassGen's got some horsepower up on stage.
Tat's in the Country now anyway. She phoned me just after noon. I was out boot shopping. Yes, you guys shamed me enough that I wanted some cool boots to wear tomorrow night.
So I was comparing these.....
..and I was really digging the Python boots but my wife and daughter both said the liked the black 'gator's better.
Then I saw these.....
Not a great pic but they didn't have my size anyway.
So I went with the black

I had previously blown this off (even though I had told one of the ladies I would post pics), but since we were talking boots..
here is a pair I am particularly fond of, for motorcycle riding (harley). They feel like cowboy boots, but the vibram sole works better when I come to a stop, and put my feet down
a local boot maker did a great job making them for me. I wear them more than all my others combined

So sorry Tat has to leave! She sang with us through the first set. Not so much in 2nd just because of the songs in the set. In the 3rd I wouldn't let her leave the stage. Plenty of video taken. We'll have to process it and get it posted.

It was a spectacular evening! I have too much video to process tonight, plus I still have to finish packing and be up at 6 so I can be out the door in time to make my flight. I roll out of here between 6:30 and 6:45 to catch an 11:00 flight from Buffalo. Then I change planes at LaGuardia and get home about supper time.
This has been an amazing trip.....BassGen - thank you SO much to you and your lovely wife. You guys are awesome!!!!!

Playing a headline show is always a big deal and a lot of fun. Add to that Meeting a new friend in person, a trip to ClubBass and then playing said gig and including new friend in the fun is a huge win!
I will be in Orlando next January for a trade show for sure. If i work it right wife and daughter will join me there. Looking forward to it already.
Ladies and Gents, you who are reading this already know it but I will reaffirm that our fine friend Tat is an awesome lady! Imagine flying from Florida to Toronto and stepping on stage and singing at least half of a full 3-set show with a band you have never rehearsed with. Oh yeah, she is that good! And I'll add that our singer is pretty picey and she was also grateful to have Tat on the vocals too. Listen, you have no idea! Walked up and nailed it all!

So tired! Didn't get home until quite late. Poor Tat has a full day of travel ahead of her. IIIRC flying from Buffalo shortly. Then a change over and not home until dinner time so she's got a long day ahead.
Thanks again Tat! You stepped in and fit in like you'd been in the band forever! Linda was really glad to have you there since Jim and I are not too strong in the vocal department (or for that matter the bass and guitar department! :lol:

Not swapping in Atlanta either...LaGuardia instead. No biggie though. It can't be worse than Atlanta or degaulle.
Your cam was on the charger the whole second set. I got it though. It's a full set clip so I'll get it off the cam and convert to mpeg and Dropbox it for you. Might be a day or two though. I'm home tonight and Monday and hit the road on Tuesday again. Detroit for a couple days then back for a show (watching a friends band) and then to columbus the following week. IIRC, PA is only about 30 min from the Columbus office so I might get to say hey before her Florida trip.
It was an awesome trip. Boarded now and ready to try to nap off this headache before LaGuardia. See y'all soon.
