CWB 16: Taking Canada

Tat's in the Country now anyway. She phoned me just after noon. I was out boot shopping. Yes, you guys shamed me enough that I wanted some cool boots to wear tomorrow night.

So I was comparing these.....

..and I was really digging the Python boots but my wife and daughter both said the liked the black 'gator's better.

Then I saw these.....

Not a great pic but they didn't have my size anyway.

So I went with the black

Here the are home.

I am ready for a full on CWB weekend.

Did you guys know there is a shoe museum in Toronto? Guess where the first CWB convention oughta be?

AMATEUR!!!


I have both black and brown gator boots, python, lizard, and even sea turtle (snuck back from Hong Kong, where they are legal)
come on, get with the program. You have to have more than one set of cool boots, IF you put your foot up on a monitor when gigging

yeah, gator boots are a good start...

use mink oil to keep them soft (sold at any shoe or saddle shop), but keep the oil off the stitching as much as possible. Mink oil will deteriorate cotton stitching...

they look better after they break in, and you polish them. The scales will not accept the polish as well as the skin between the scales. It looks like the scales are outlined, and they look more natural, and less like a dyed hide

But shame might be a little harsh...lol....we loved you even in your New Balance tennies. :smug: I bet you're gonna love the boots though. :D

How fast do you think we'd be thrown out of that museum for trying to wear the exhibits? :D

Yeah, I like them all. If the brown ones had been available in the right size I might have bought them.

The store gave me a boot jack and a tin of mink oil for the boots.

Now, just waiting for word from Tat that she's at her hotel and me and the Missus are gonna go meet her and take her out for dinner somewhere.

Now I understand how it works when women shop. I bought the boots and came to the conclusion that all of my jeans are way too relaxed fit and don't hang right so now I just got back from buying 3 pairs of boot-cut jeans!

NO PJs, and I rarely go to Wal Mart... Both are for weirdos.

We're here for a good time, not a long time....

Dinner was good though. Ms. Tat is running on almost no sleep and a long day. We took her back to her hotel and will hook up again tomorrow.
