CWB 16: Taking Canada

It's gonna go fine!!!! This sounds like a plan. I pin down hotels tomorrow and will let you know where I'll be. Bring the crowd for dinner - I hate eating alone. I'm okay with early night - I'm up at 3 for the flight at 5:30, so I'll be grateful for sleep, I'm sure.

As offered before, if you'd like a hand loading in or schlepping gear, just yell. I'm glad to pitch in.

Many hands make light work! You're on! My teens will do the load-up hauling with me. But we can definitely use extra hands at the hall for unloading and set-up on Saturday.

ah, so jealous! First FM in FL. now BassGen in ONT. Wish I could be there too.

To quote the Pretenders from "Talk of the Town" (which we did the other night) - maybe tomorrow, maybe someday.

Hey Chuck, everyone is welcome! 9 Dawes Rd, in Toronto. Advance ticket sales are currently about 50% of hall capacity so there should be some available at the door.

You missed lareamond and Mike the drummer when I was up in that neck of the woods last fall. And PA will be here in FL in June.....

We'll hook up one of these days for a drink. You'll get here or I'll get there....just be patient. :D

And on that note folkses....I'm off to bed since I have an early day. Here are a few parting thoughts to keep you smiling (and wondering what I'm up to).

I got a call this morning... apparently I am going to be restoring an old carnival train for a local guy. He bought it, and had it shipped all the way from Alaska, on a 52 foot flatbed (I am almost afraid to ask what shipping cost). The guy is going to set it up in his back yard... But since it is over 60 years old, it needs a little work to be in pristine condition
He wants his one done first, then he has a steam engine version, of the same size, he wants restored next. He all ready has one going, in his yard, and has a raised trestle, and a covered bridge.

He had some work he wanted done on axles and wheels. I suggested that he have a machinist modify his existing parts instead of having new stuff made. I had thought it would be more cost effective. He checked into prices, and bought the lathe, then called me saying that it was cheaper to own the lathe, and pay me, then what he had originally intended...

It's a well known fact that no one wears undies in Canada. They won't let you take them past the border. :D
HAVE A SAFE TRIP! WISH I COULD COME BRING SOME CRAZY TO CANADA WITH YOU!!! :hyper:

Furry, you're believing those stereo types again....that's only on Saturday nights. Aka "Commando Saturday Night".

You didn't tell me about Commando Saturday Night in time. I brought the pretty undies. I don't want anyone at the hospital to point and laugh if I'm in an accident. At least, not at my undies. It's probably to be expected that they point and laugh about the injury itself or the way I got it.

...and for sleeping it's the "Full Monty!". :hyper:
