This thread is really a special kind of community, the likes of which I haven't seen elsewhere online. For those of you I've connected with outside the thread, and those of you I haven't (or haven't yet), thanks for being a part of this great group of people who have enriched my life so much.
It's happened in one other place besides here for me. That one was first. What Surprised me was that it actually did happen again here.
File it away somewhere safe in your mind and when the world seems to be getting you down use it as a reminder that in general people are cool, sharing and friendly sorts and that it is the media choosing to report too many negatives that makes you think otherwise.
I have seen a small community of friends come out of an online forum before, but it was on a biker forum where the object was traveling and meeting new people.

I have some vacation time that has to be taken before 30 September. Crow has a deal in August. PA's going. Crow will be there. Drummer's a maybe. I should use my vacation time to come up and see people I didn't get to see in February. CWB GTG, anyone?

Thank all of you for your interest. The gig is part of the "Live on the Levee" series and will be August 23rd, 2013. It starts at 7:30 and there is a gathering at a micro-brewery within walking distance tentatively planned for the after-party. The next day, Saturday, there is a repeat of the show planned at a church about 25 miles west as a benefit for a food drive and to celebrate the 50th anniversery of the church. This church allowed us to practice in their basement during the early years of the band. Here is a link to the FB page and the Live on the Levee page.

No issues so far and the carbs don't leak. I did run gas treatment through for a couple of tanks.
I only was cut off twice by idiots yesterday. One guy made a left turn from the far right lane right in front of me when a light turned green. No signal, didn't even look. Left lane goes left, middle lane goes left or straight and the far right goes either straight or right on red. Brand new orange Camaro with temp plates on it. Brilliant.
No issues so far and the carbs don't leak. I did run gas treatment through for a couple of tanks.

I have no shortage of stories about idiot drivers. They are out there..stay aware and be prepared to drive for them.

Pretty sure that's Paz Lenchantin of A Perfect Circle (and a few other bands). Those stems look familiar, and that looks like the P-Bass she uses in one of APC's videos.
The guy threw in the saddle bags. I didn't think I liked them, but they have been very useful. The rear signals are actually front signals, he removed the stock ones to fit the bags, but he kept them and passed them along.
The seller of my current bike threw in some soft saddle bags as well. I freaking dig em.

so how long until you get the case savers, so you can mount highway pegs to them? LOL
I used to have those on the 77 LTD1000. On a long trip those extra places to tuck in came in very handy.
I have a thermal bag that fits in my fiberglass saddle bag that holds ten beers on ice. I call it Chief Ten Beers after the warrior Indian chief in the movie "Josie Wales"; (Chief Ten Bears). In my old 1976 Electra-Glide I drilled holes in one bag to let the melted ice drain out.
this was my rolling ice chest... The box was lined with fiberglass, and had a drain in the bottom. it was also mounted on a spring perch
I built it for a hot little blonde bartender to ride around selling drinks at bike rallies. it was a triumph 650 with a 750 big bore kit. The rear end was a harley servicart piece, and the frame was all hand made
