For EADG:
.045 47.2 lbs.
.065 53.7
.085 51.5
.105 43.2
Total: 195.6 lbs.
When tuned to DGCF, they're roughly 155 lbs. in total tension, which is almost identical to the SIT Power Wound Nickels 40-100 tuned to EADG.
These flats are very comfortable to play on in DGCF without feeling floppy at all.
Great stuff. Do you happen to know what the 130 tension is in the 5iver set?
The PF tensions are virtually the same as XL Chromes

Ok. Given the tensions similar to Chromes I expect the 130 PF is not much less than CB132
The math.
(.130÷.132 squared) x tension of 132
Ie 0.969×38.72 = 37.55lbf

Have noticed a great deal on Rotosound RS77LD 45-105 flats which has put me in quandary, because I was more inclined to try the heavier 50-110 set detune to D standard. Even detuned the 50-110 is 200lbf total. I thought the 110 would make a better D though. But the 105 detuned is still in the mid 30's (anything below 30 feels too loose to me). What's a poor guy to do he he
I just got the info from Eddie Speedy (president) of SIT. The Power Flat .130 is 38.9 lbs. when tuned to B.

I upped 3 of the gauges of Roto 88's on my Squier P that I had strung with gauges 65 75 100 135 Roto 88's https://www.talkbass.com/threads/d-standard-club-dgcf.1190032/page-40#post-28781297
I now have 75 100 115 135 . I've used this combo on another bass for DGCF with no ill effects as far as high tension goes. And on the Squier they intonate spot on at DGCF. The truss rod nut still has plenty in reserve, should some more tightening be required. It is muscular to play the C and F strings. And I don't mind that at all.

My challenge in the search for flatwounds for D-standard is finding a set for a 5-string. I am using Dunlop flats which, on my bass, have been decent for the DGCF strings, but the A (formerly B) is a barely useable noodle.
I am considering returning my strings to E standard tuning and using a DigiTech Drop Tuner to get back down to ADGCF. I am thinking this method would get my flats back up to their original E tension, especially the A(B), while keeping our royal tuning. Although, I have heard that dropping 1 full step via Drop Tuner maxes out the effectiveness of this pedal on bass.

Have you thought of trying a high tension/stiff set of flats like Rotosound 77 jazz flats 5 iver set tuned down to ADGCF. The 130 tuned to A0 still has as much tension as a 145 plain vanilla nickel round wound tuned to A

If the Roto 77s don't work out, I would try a set of medium gauge (50-105) D'Addario Chromes with an added single 132 gauge Low A string. I play the medium gauge 4 string set in D Standard and they're amazing strings.

The floppy low A was a bummer. That’s where I play my E for a number of songs.
Thanks! I switched from Rotosounds to D'Addario after 12 years of brand loyalty. I mainly played Roto 66s and 55s in standard tuning, but the 77s were my first ever set of flats. They lose their brightness after a few years and they're really tense. I preferred how they felt in C Standard over D Standard or higher tunings.

I double checked their website and they don't. I got that number from the string tension calculator page. It was the next highest number after the 132 on there. I edited my previous post accordingly.
