The trio I play with currently was a quartet at first. At that point, they (we) were called The Old Man Band. But I pointed out that that spelled 'TOMB'. And the drummer and I felt that making mortality jokes about a band made of older guys was a little dark. Our lead player had a frequent habit of getting feedback from turning up too loud. So one day, he had a huge amp squeal. And the other guitarist said "Jeezus, John. I thought you'd gotten over that." And John replied "Life is full of disappointments." So the drummer said "There's our new name. We're Feedback Johnny and the Disappointments".

John didn't seem to realize this was a joke. And he has since resisted our efforts to change that name to 'Ubiquitous Vibe".
