As I've mentioned a zillion times or so, I work in a children's hospital. And several of us sort of 'collect' awful names we hear at work. I always kind of vaguely threaten to use them for character names in a story, or something similar.

Yesterday I was working in the ER and mis-heard a name.

There is finally something better than the awful names we've encountered here: The awful names we THOUGHT we heard, but really didn't.

The one I'd swear I heard yesterday? Andy Christ. The one that the nurse I told that one to had thought she'd heard Monday? Adam Baum. And one I've really seen, but not recently: Robin Graves.
