Now you need a wider strap, like 3"
Even a strap that adds weight will disperse it better so it's not as bothersome

T-40’s are heavy, but not 14 lbs. heavy. They may feel like they weigh that much, but if you put them on a scale you’ll find they weigh 12 lbs., give or take.
Although I never bonded with the neck fully and I don't particularly like the preamp, mine is in the range of 9 lbs as well ...Mine weighs an even 9lbs.View attachment 3282926
