Has to be MIM for the price but it's weird because it doesn't have the plain neck plate on the back...it looked like a 60th anniversary neck plate, but not the one with the diamond, the one with the P bass and a wreath, I think. Put money down on it, didn't want to lose it, so I have to wait to bring it home.
Yeah, the previous owner changed the pickguard, put on a Babicz bridge, and maybe a different neck plate. Strange too that I played it and left the store never even realizing that the neck felt more like a Jazz neck. Do some MIMs have Jazz necks? Other than the Deluxe Active models, that is.

No, I believe only the Deluxe P Bass Special had the Jazz neck.

That makes it a 2011 if it has that neckplate I believe. The other 60th anniversary was 2006, that was for Fender as a company 1946-2006, the other 60th anniversary was 1951-2011 for the P bass in general.

I'm not much of a stickler for any particular year, and I even love Thunderbird basses, and my favorite bass is my Dean Exotica...tapewounds, and I play with a fat Wedgie rubber pick, and one Jazz bass has an Audere JZ3, and one is pink, so...

Welcome to the world of low-mids and perfectly sitting in the mix . Maybe the bass had the 1.62" nut width? Bigger than the Jazz 1.5" but still not too wide.
Either way nothing like a real Fender
