Dance numbers

Next Friday, my mostly instrumental jazz band is playing a restaurant and bar that wants us to play "dancable stuff" as the night goes on and the crowd transitions from families eating to people drinking. We have a long list of standards and bebop stuff for the dinner crowd and have some funk stuff to do, but not a lot. Any ideas for instrumental dance material that wouldn't be too tough to put together?

All I have to suggest is Earth, Wind, and Fire. I don't know how the average restaurant/bar goer will like that, but my mind's blank and the vinyl's sitting across from me.

I forgot to ask, what instruments are in the band now? Maybe you can throw out some pieces that are in your dinner list as well, that may spark some ideas for the transition.

Time to ramp up a couple of vocals from somebody, though.
That goes a long way to whipping up the crowd.

Anything blues quickish with a walking bass gets them going also.

We do Mercy, Mercy, Mercy as well. Either there aren't a lot of danceable instrumentals, or this thread is just boring. Thanks to those who did respond.
