I agree with savit260.....but really you can't go wrong with either for rock. Listen to Rancid for rock jazz, listen to Pennywise for rock P...just some examples....

That is a very good choice. And the price is right. (Well, a lot cheaper then in europe anyway.)

Not an amp I would've chosen personally but very good deal.
The amp and bass you are starting out on is so much nicer and better than what I had to learn on.
