my boss metal zone recently crapped out on me so i'm looking for a relatively cheap alternative. i'm thinking the danelectro fab metal because it's only $15 and i've heard some guitar demos of it which sound alright, but i have no idea what it sounds like with a bass. anyone try this pedal with bass before? and also, what are some other pedals you could recommend that could be used for both bass and guitar (i play both)?

look into the ehx metal muff. the largest version has an eq which can help with low end loss and they can be found used for 50-60
