Are you talking the long scale DC Bass from 98-02? Or the vintage short scale DC? There are quite a few of the old short scale around, but, they will be pricey. The Korean long scale was only made for a short time so there won't be that many. I'm guessing $200 - $400.

Still unclear. The 'DC Bass' is a long scale made in Korea. As far as I know, they did not make a short scale 'DC'. They are the vintage ones from the '50s and '60s. Both are short horn. Here's my Korean 'DC Bass'.

A couple new photos.
Also...
If that's a DC-4, they called it "commie red".

What do you mean by 4?

This bass was a gift from a friend and I was just informed that it was a DC bass with no mention of numbers.
Oh and fyi it was bought new in 98 I believe, it's definitely MIK (as it has a sticker) and the pickup switch was my add on.

Cool club btw.
You can give me a number if you'd like, although I'm not sure it will fit in my sig right now I'd probably find room at some point.

Sorry, I was texting while talking with someone. I'd like to get the Korean short horn, long scale bass in that nifty silver flake

Number for me please?

Mine:
- Jerry Jones Longhorn Neptune (copperburst)
- Dano 56 dolphin-head (the recent version) (black)

I also have one of the recent Dano Longhorns (copperburst), which I got on the 'bay in not-quite-playable condition. I haven't fixed it yet.

I've always had d'Addario XL170S's on the JJ Longhorn, since that's what they came with. When I got this, I loved it, and never literally took any other basses out again for about 8 years, until I got the 56.

The 56 was an impulse buy, maybe a year and a half ago - $175, new!. It came with zingy uncomfortable something-or-other strings on it (steel, I think) that hurt my fingers, so I immediately put Chrome flats on it, and it sounds excellent. It's taken as mine main player, since the drummer prefers its sound to the JJ.

So then I tried to put flats on the JJ -- Roto 88s, but I didn't like the way they sounded. Recently (like, 2 weeks ago), I put the roundwounds back on, and it sounds "right" again. I thought of getting Chromes for it, and I suppose it would sound great with them, but then I might have two basses that sound like "that", and none that sound like "this".

Not sure what I'll do with the Dano longhorn. It has a couple bent frets (ugly, but possibly harmless), a small longitudinal crack in the neck (though it doesn't look like it would cause any short- or long-term issues), and the bridge isn't anchored down (one screw hole is stripped out). It looks like it got dropped, or shipped wrong. I thought of putting a 6-string neck on it, but I actually don't like to play that many strings, so that seems like an idea with no purpose.

Pictures another time.
