Dark Knight poll..for those that have seen it

well, of course. he's the machiavellian manipulator behind all the problems in gotham in this movie.
i think the riddler would be an awesome opponent to have in the next movie - they've already set the stage for him. not only did they have "edward nashton" (riddler alias) write a letter to the editor in the promotional "gotham times" stuff before the movie about harvey dent, but we also have coleman reese discovering batman's identity, something which, of all the criminals in the batman saga, riddler did the most often. mr. coleman reese. mr. reese.
total setup for 3rd movie. w00t. can't wait heh.

Maggie Gyllenhall was the worst I'd say.

I voted the voice, but it's not a major gripe. I actually don't think killing off either Rachel or Dent would bother me storywise, but I do think killing off Ledger was a bad idea. 
Also I thought Gyllenhall looked unattractive, too much neck wattle and not enough character in the eyes/nose/mouth. No charisma. Maybe that makes her more realistic, like a normal adult woman who is not a fashion model, but I think Batman could do better.

OK, I'm not nearly enough of a geek to understand this. Who's Mr. Reese? What's the connection to the Riddler?
Voted on the voice, sure he should be intimidating,but really who's afraid of that? Dead Dent? Whatever, Maggie, you don't like her? Check out "Secratary" I'm still in love with her from that one. Now down to the real meat..I really like the new stuff, dark is the correct palette to color Batman in, but! When are we going into the Frank Miller/Lynne Varney storyline? Hey he actually kicks Superman's butt. Not once but Twice! and causes the overthrow of the govt AND Lex Luthor's death and Brainiac's as well and then he kills Robin!!! I mean hey! let's get dirty now that we're dark, it's just a step ....to the left.

interesting take on it - it certainly did look very "normal", didn't it? i prefer to think of it as realistic, but yeah, it could have probably gotten a little funkier - more washed out in the colors maybe - and still been cool.
something to note - a substantial percentage of this movie was shot using imax cameras, including the opening bank robbery. very cool - can't wait to actually see it at an imax theater.
Yeah, it certanly was not bad photography, but as you said, they could have done more with the colors.
I read the whole film was shot with imax, maybe not. I will have to watch it again.
Great film anyhow.
Didn't really care about Rachel dying, just adds to Batman's tragedy. Also, I don't really believe Two-Face is dead. Harvey is dead for sure, but I'm not so sure about Two-Face.
But that voice... I didn't know Bruce Wayne was into death metal vocals. Sure, his smooth "I'm a pimpin' billionaire" voice wouldn't fit the Batman persona at all, but a computer-modulated growl? He would do better with a slightly angrier version of the inflection he used for his character in Equilibrium.

I saw it on IMAX on Sunday. It was great, esp. Hong Kong.
Maybe it's just me but I'd like BATMAN to be the star of the next movie. Leave the silly supervillains out of it. More noir, more mystery, less gadgets, have Batman deal with the mob.
I just found it pretty boring...
But more relevant really is, that I really did not like the joker character( just forgot the actors' name, but am generally no fan of his) whereas I enjoyed michael caine as Alfred( the older he gets the more I like michael caines acting. Goes for the weather man and flawless as well as his previous alfred).

Without a doubt, she was weak playing the chracter to begin with but alongside the stellar performances of the other actors in the film she was just downright awful..
I actually like Katie Holme's version, she had substance...(and a personality)

Agreed, she's definatly dead...
Irrelevant, she was awful in The Dark Knight
As for my take on the voice, sounded a bit silly when simply chatting to Gordan and Dent, but in the angrier scenes it was awesome... The scene between The Joker and Batman in the interrogation room for example...(Which was also Ledger and Bale's first scene shot together...)
But I liked the voice, he needed to sound menacing and tough and disguise his voice, he did that exellently...
well like they said in the end of the movie Harvey was the beaming hope of light in the city. He was the guy who was going to clean up Gotham. And Joker was trying to show that even the greatest of men can fall and become evil and twisted. And if they found out he killed those people it would destroy the hope that Harvey made for the city by showing that even the hero's can become corrupted. So batman took the blame.
