Thanks - I think that's clear, but just to reiterate my understanding, so the solution I'm suggesting makes sense... I'm throwing in some assumptions for the example, since I'm familiar with how the TT-800 signal chain works:
- You want Anagram output #3 going into the front of your TT-800 (effected by the amp EQ) to use with the Boogie channel.
- You want Anagram output #4 going to the effects return of your TT-800 (unaffected by the amp EQ) for use with the Subway channel.
- Presumably, you want the flexibility to use amp sims in your Anagram signal chain, but only send those to output #4 and FOH feeds? (i.e. You want flexibility to use amp/cab sims, but don't want to send an amp/cab sim to channel #3 since you're already using the amp/preamp section of the Boogie channel there?)
- You want the ability to manage boomy/problematic frequencies on stage (i.e. going to either channel of your TT-800/stage cabs) without those changes hitting the FOH feed.
- You don't want to have to adjust an HPF/EQ block in each preset at each gig, just to account for your stage amp sound.
If that's all correct, here's an example signal chain that could be a solution. Though, it still requires a little extra tweaking:
- Say your core signal chain for a preset is compressor > overdrive > phaser. So you effectively want that 'tone' going to all feeds regardless of amp sims, cab sims, HPF, etc. that come after.
- After the 'core' blocks, utilize Output Block #1 to send your signal to Anagram output #3 for the front of your TT-800 (Boogie channel).
- Next in the chain, place your amp and/or cab sim blocks that you want to use for that preset. (i.e. The blocks you want going to FOH and your un-EQ'ed TT-800 effects return channel.)
- Then place Output Block #2 to send your post-amp/cab sim signal to Anagram outputs #1 and/or #2, which are the DI outs for FOH. They're now sending without being effected by global EQ.)
- Finally, your remaining/open outputs (headphones and Anagram output #4) are sending everything in the signal chain and are being effected by any global EQ adjustments.
- Signal chain is effectively Anagram input > compressor > overdrive > phaser > output block #1 (sending to Anagram output #3) > amp/cab block(s) > output block #2 (sending to Anagram DI outputs #1/2) > global EQ > all other anagram outputs (Anagram output #4 and headphones in this case).
With the above setup, you'd still have to quick tweak the Boogie channel's HPF (and use the EQ if desired for that room) to adjust for the room/stage. (Though, you'd have to do that regardless unless you run everything perfectly flat/off.) Then your amp/cab sim'ed signal goes to FOH pre-global EQ - so they're getting a consistent feed, regardless of your stage amp sound. Finally, the global EQ could be used to adjust for stage sound on the Subway channel, since that's the effects return/pre-EQ channel on your amp. This obviously still requires 2 output blocks per preset to accomplish, but you'll typically use at least 1 output block if you're needing to send separate feeds to FOH and your own stage amp/monitor.
The only major wrench in the gears above is if you use amp and cab sims, but you want just the amp sim going to your Subway channel (since that goes to an actual cab) and then want amp sim > cab sim going to FOH. then you'd need a third/separate output block for Anagram output #4, and that would bypass the global EQ.
Sorry, that's an absolute wall of text, but it is possible to get close to your complex routing idea with just the Anagram...
