Darkglass B3K.....Ok, I get it!

I have a noise problem with my B7K, but it's more of a personal issue. I had my pedals in my gear bag along with a 6-pack of Dortmunder Actien Brauerei, which proceed to explode on my commute to band practice. The bag is waterproof, so when I arrived at the studio, my B7K was submerged in beer and subsequently didn't work. Went home, took off the back panel, cleaned out the insides, and left it out to dry for a week. My indestructible B7K is back in action, but it makes a little more noise than it used to. Probably some sugars still stuck to connections. My bad! HAHAHAH! Perhaps if it were a nicer beer...
It is an amazing pedal, GASing for a B7K. Did you guys have to talk with a representative at prymaxe to apply the coupon?
Sort of. If you go to their website, on the bottom left corner there is a "chat" feature. All I did was ask for a coupon code for it and they gave me one. It did seem though that they wanted a guaranteed sale before they did it though, so don't ask unless you're willing to pull the trigger. Since these things are going for $200 used, it makes sense to do it this way since they ship for free. I got mine for $211 and change.
I got hooked on the B3K when i liquidated my pedalboard, but kept it, a compressor and bought to Whirlwind Bass Ten on a whim. It undid several years of the trial and error i had put my$elf through. Today i use the B7K, but that's how the change started.
I think I'm right behind you man. I spent the last 3 hours a/b'ing the B3K with every OD I have and it blew them all away.....by miles. Lot of money spent to get to this point, but I am justifying it in my mind by saying to myself "well, you needed to know what you didn't like in order to know what you do like!" If I didn't have that justification, I would start crying!! Now I'm looking at like 10 pedals that will probably not be used. And like you, I have also reached a point where I just don't see the point in phasing, flanging, chorus, delay etc.
Ive been rocking the B3K since it was MIF the first time and the switches were different sizes! haha
Always used a 1 spot on a daisy chain with no issues. IMO the B3K shines at lower tunings, tightens up the low end and helps cuts through so the awesome bass lines can be heard over cymbals and screaming vocals. IMO YMMV etc etc etc etc etc

I also have a B7K and I was wondering if I should get some other EQ pedal like the whirlwind bass ten to mess with different frequencies. Do you still use the EQ pedal along with the B7K?

Awesome. Never tried those Bricks but Dunlop sent me a prototype of their new ISO brick supply (weird right?) and it was freaking awesome. It's my go to now in the shop!

Too bad, stacking the B3K and the OBD3 may have given you stellar results. I used to love sending my ODB3 through my B7K. Yum.
I myself have ran another EQ pedal with my B7K. I also run another preamp as well. The B7K seems to take anything you throw at is like a champ. I run my clean and last in the chain btw. Love that friggen pedal!
Also, the older/non-newer ISO Brick by MXR is not truly isolated. I think there is two different versions of the older style and one may be and the other is not. Or both arent, not totally sure. But I do know that one of them is a glorified 1spot for the most part.
I too get some added hiss or noise in my signal from my B7K. Its something I dont really mind. Its not overly loud obnoxious so I live with it. But, in the B7K's defense, I have a lot going on around it. I do run it off of a PP ISO5 and it does very well off of it. But if you saw the bottom of my board, you would most likely see why I have a little noise. Sometimes its quiet as heck, other times its a little more noisy than usual. Its because my power chords get jostled or whatnot and that will cause it to become a tad noisier than usual. BUt most times, its totally fine.
I plan on revamping my board again this weekend as Ive had a few pedals go in and out this week. Im hoping to get my chords in better order so I wont have to worry about noise. Again, its really not that bad, but its there. Id like to see if I can get it down to almost dead quiet. Im pretty confident with the new MXR ISO Brick, I will be able to do that. If it would ever come out! Ive said it before, but I really believe that the new MXR Brick is going to be the one to beat. With what it offers at the price point, its gonna be pretty hard to beat.
I was sold on the B3K from that first video where the pedal's look hadn't been pinned down yet. At the time I was playing a five string Jazz style bass through a Mesa Walkabout and that was exactly the gear used in the demo so I took a chance and ordered what I believe was the first B3K to be sent to the U.S.
It was serial number 7. And I was nervous to plunk down that much coin for a brand new pedal from a brand new company in Finland. But the build quality was stellar and the sound was EXACTLY as in the demo vid.
I've bought a number of dirt pedals based on video demos and sound clips and have been burnt in the past when they showed up and sounded drastically different through my gear.
So for anyone who sees a B3K demo and likes that super crunchy and still really clear, cutting sound I say grab a B3K.
It was serial number 7. And I was nervous to plunk down that much coin for a brand new pedal from a brand new company in Finland. But the build quality was stellar and the sound was EXACTLY as in the demo vid.

LOVE my B7K. I power it with a Voodoo Labs ISO-5. Zero hum. 
I love the ISO-5, it's the perfect size for me. My max has been one comp and a pair of overdrives, but I might build a board so I can run another OD or two without getting too messy onstage.

Hehe actually I became good friends of one of the guys running the bass division there (awesome to be able to compete without any kind of animosity) and he asked if he could send me one so I could tell him what I think. I got it and after 2 weeks I told him it freaking rocks. It has some variable voltage outputs and other goodies. I opened it up and it seemed well built - if I still had time to play gigs it'd probably be my go to. But I've used voodoo labs and cioks on our NAMM boards and they are amazing too. It all comes down to your budget and what features you need.

Oh yeah those were the days. I was living on my shop because I couldn't afford rent for both a flat and shop. Thanks for your trust man! I will always remember that.
