Darkglass duality fuzz and b3k

I had never been into effects until i recently got ahold of a b3k and have really enjoyed it. So when I decided I wanted to try out a fuzz I looked up what Darkglass offered and liked the demos I listened to online and I've gone and ordered one of their duality fuzz pedals.

Anybody else own the duality fuzz and use it in conjunction with a b3k? What are your opinions?

Also newbie question I'm sure but... Right now I go from my bass to my tuner then to the b3k then into my amp. Where would be the wisest place to put the fuzz before or after the b3k?

Thanks!

Hey! Cool man, I like the fuzz before the B3k... This might help ;).

Yes! Thank you so much that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I couldn't find a video like that with someone demoing the b3k and duality together until you shared that.

Cool man! Glad I could help... And yeah we realized we were very lacking on the video department so we are actually working on new videos almost every week... We'll be probably be releasing videos on a weekly basis next year when we have a small video studio set up in our showroom.

Are you guys planning on creating a distortion pedal for 2016?

I use the Duality and the B7K. Love them separate and together.

The Duality is the best fuzz I've ever owned. It's such a pleasant sound, which is aggressive yet very contained, if that makes any sort of sense. Very usable in a variety of situations.

I am new to pedals. I have a Super Symmetry and I just ordered a VMT. What order should they be in the signal chain?

I don't have the Symmetry, but I do have the Empress!! The VMT does touch response amazingly so depending on how much compression you use and how much of that dynamic response you want from the VMT will be factors!

If you want that touch response from the VMT I'd run the Symmetry *after*, if you want a more uniform overdrive then run the Symmetry 1st! However, you can *still* get that touch response with the Symmetry 1st *if* you keep a lower ratio....

These are all generalizations about compression BTW, another factor is the clean blend so you *could* run a higher ratio(more compression) but blend in a decent amount of cleans to maintain dynamic's as well, so you got alot of options;)

Really you should check out the ovnilabs site ran by fellow TBer Bongomania!! He has a ton of compression reviews plus tons of articles about tone, compression, overdrive, etc... Really an amazing resource!!
