Darkglass Hyper Luminal Settings?

I did not get into the software at all. Part of what made me keep the Duncan is there was just too much going on with the DGHL. I really didn't want that many options in the end.
That's fair! I think using settings in the software that you could probably get the compression action of the HL Bus comp pretty close to the Duncan comp, but the filtered dry signal Blend of the Duncan is definitely a unique feature.
I normally prefer simplicity as well, but I just try to see the three HL voices as "presets" of sorts and leave the software controls put once I get the three modes where I want them (still not totally there yet though, as not having access to live shows to demo settings makes it hard to settle). I think DG might benefit from a bit more promotion about all the software settings available on the HL and how they work (same could be said in general for even just the manuals of their various pedals giving specific rundowns of the DG software Suite controls). For example, I don't think the fact that the Suite has a selectable "Guitar" or "Bass" modes for the HL is even really advertised. Another great possibly would be some sort of way to share "presets" of at least the internal settings, something that having digital software control typically allows for. I'm sure there are lots of people that have picked up an HL and never plugged it into a computer at all like yourself, and are missing out on a lot of what the pedal is capable of (I'm not particularly fond of the default attack-release curves for one, though obviously they were chosen for a particular preference).

I A/B the DG with the Keeley Compressor Pro last night and the DG won. Very pleased with it. I've found to really like the following settings:
Mode: Bus
Ratio: 4
Blend: Around 3 o clock
Time: Around 10 o clock
Compression: Around 1:30

Just curious where you like to set your attack and release min/max at, also thanks for the write up on how the hpf works as I wasn't about to scrub the main Luminal thread again trying to find it.

Probably will bump my hpf up to 200hz soon just to see, might need to experiment with the blend pot again as I've gotten used to running the all in setting on full blast for max nastiness.
