yeah, I'm not sure why you couldn't mix and match. The combined cabs would be somewhere between 2 and 3 ohms of resistance, well below the limit.

Have to hear them myself before labeling it "hilarious" as there is a level of performance that could justify both, but they better kick some serious ***.

Edit: to be clear, my current abilities would still not justify dropping a couple grand on a pair of 210's, whether I can afford it or not.

I just can't imagine a 210 and/or 410 that's any better than the current myriad of offerings. I'm guessing they're relying heavily on selling based on their brand and loyalty

To be clear: unless they're coated in crocodile leather there's nothing about these worth the price. These cost hundreds more than even boutique cabs and it's rather flagrant cash grab.

I don't see the problem with the price, these are priced in line with other premium cab options. EBS, Aguilar, etc. They are a little heavy compared to some of the current 210 and 410 options out there, but not that far off of others. The 410 is 20lbs lighter than the Aguilar DB410!

I'm super happy with my Wayne Jones 2x10s( I have not heard anything that sounded better or even as good to me) but am also selling them because of the weight.
I just don't need cabs that weigh so much.

Yeah, I think they'll do ok, but "they will sell fine" is very subjective. I doubt they'll have a full warehouse of stock they can't move, but they're obviously not going to move gear in the quantities that say, Ampeg, can.

410 cab is 4 ohms. 210 cab is 8 ohms, so no mix and match. Too bad the 410 isn't 8 ohms.

Actually they are a perfect match. Running the 4x10 and the 2x10 together for a 2.67Ω load makes this a nicely balanced 6x10 with all the drivers in either cabinet “seeing” the same amount of power.

I'd say these are priced similarly to other boutique offerings, I paid over a grand Canadian each for my 3 Berg CN112s, had I gone for the CN210s, it would have been about $1,300 each. Yeah, they are a bit heavy, but for people who want to go the ceramic route, its gonna be heavy, no way around that!

Given Darkglass's history of success, I doubt that they would have moved forward with these cabs unless there was a sufficient market to make it a viable business venture. As for the M500, I was initially surprised at the cost, but when you think about it, the VMT and B3K each cost $245 ish new, so so you are basically paying $300 bucks to combine both of those pedals with a 500 watt amp.

This stuff won't be everyone's jam, but I am sure they will sell well regardless.

That's a misprint. That's the weight of the 4x10. The 2x10 is 50.8lbs.

Yikes... that is heavier than my fEarful 15/6.

As someone who is super happy with a D800 and a pair of subway cabs I was pretty skeptical about them, especially after getting the numbers for pricing and weight. Hearing them in person and playing through them myself completely changed my opinion. I'm almost certainly going to end up with at least the 4x10.
