Darkglass Just Unveiled Speaker Cabs!

I initially thought the weight was going to be a problem for me but now I'm thinking the additional 10 lbs won't be that big a deal after all. As for the price, I was in on Darkglass from the very beginning with initial B3K's and have always been impressed with the quality of everything Doug puts out. Not to mention the customer service and attention to detail has always been outstanding. I have no problem spending a little more to support these products and I know I'm not alone.

For perspective, I noted some of the details on the current crop of "premium" 210 cabs. Feel free to copy and paste other brands and specs.

At this point, most of us have very high quality amps and cabs ( we know who we are). And Darkglass is a fine purveyor of hand made high quality pedals. I personally have no need to ditch my Ampeg rig, and I'm not sure that it would be a "trade up", anyway. This is a new journey for Darkglass. Let's see how it unfolds.

LOL!!!!!!! To heavy to ship!

Hmmmmm I distinctly heard a video on Instagram saying the cabs were made in the UK, the plot thickens.../

Built in the country of sale? Maybe it is like cola, with bottling plants used to shorten the distribution chain. Import parts; assemble locally.
I'm just swinging wild :bag:

I just hope for the company's sake, they have their distribution problems worked out. My first venture into the DG world has been a long wait.
The head guy of the new distributor is a bass player. From my conversations, I do believe they are set and going well.

My A/O has been on order from ZZounds since 7/26. I got an email yesterday (I think, maybe Monday) that Sweetwater had them in stock but is showing them today as a 'preorder only' again.
I was told the next shipment would be in October.

As far as the weight, if one wants a ceramic driver, the Darkglass is right there in with the rest of them.

Quite a number of similar priced and weighted "high-end" cabs. These are a brand new release, so retailers haven't settled into any "street" pricing yet. I just don't see where the fire is.

DB210, $799 street and 59lbs
Bergantino Reference 210, 54lbs, $999
Bag End D10BX-N, $1000 street, 53lbs
Eden D-210XLT, $8-850 street, 63lbs
EBS ProLine 210, $950 street, 49.2lbs

There are cheaper cabs, there are lighter cabs, there are even cheaper and lighter cabs. But, there are also more expensive cabs, morerer(tm) heavier cabs, and cabs that are both more expensive and heavier.
