I guess Darkglass anticipates those cabinets to be sold at Safeway where the price per ounce must be included on the price tag? That way, their somewhat high prices won't seem so high!

Darkglass Just Unveiled Speaker Cabs!

Possibly but not totally. Depends on if you want to run the clean tone as your clean tone. I just bought a 900 and I use a low gain blend of the Microtubes engine as part of my clean tone, and other pedals for my distortion. I don't care for the higher gain of the B3K nor VMT, so I wouldn't use the pristine clean channel then kick the Microtubes on for higher gain. I could see someone wanting to have a slightly warm/dirty tone from the head, then pushing it with a B3K or VMT pedal, if that's the sound they want.
@monsterthompson is quite good at that....
Those cabs must sound pretty magnificent, or geared towards hardcore Darkglass users. The price and weight of either cab puts them out of consideration for me. I'm sure they're gorgeous sounding, but I'm sure liking other lower priced, lighter, high powered cabs coming out nowadays...

Now that I got your attention LOL... do you have any idea what would make these cabs so exceptional? Not trying to be a smart aleck. There are so many great cabs out there and I don't know anything about Darkglass....Aw, shucks

Not to be a jerk, but so far that's the bulk of what we know. DG gear is premium priced, and generally finished accordingly, so I suspect these cabs will look spectacular.
I have to assume that there's a DG sound they are trying to achieve, because they aren't seemingly pushing the limits of light-weight design like a Barefaced or Greenboy. Until I hear them, I can't say much more. I know that certain educated folks around these parts can make better educated guesses about the porting and cab volume, or what drivers are being used than I can.
It does seem that the idea could be to offer a "modular" rig option by having the 4 Ohm 410 and 8 Ohm 210, for a 2.67 Ohm 610 stack, seeing as the heads are 2 Ohm stable (well, the 900 is, and I'm assuming the new one is, but I just glanced over the specs briefly and I might've missed that - EDIT - I see it is 4 Ohm min.).
Just gonna sit back and watch the story unfold.

Nope, in this case I genuinely know nothing. I'd love to check it out at NAMM if I decide to go this year though.
Meh. My Barefaced 69'er weighs less than the actual 210 weight. Not sure this was a great venture for Darkglass. I am sure they will sell a ton of them, but I can't see getting one.
@monsterthompson makes good points, for example if you get a Barefaced 210 it’s $799 shipped to the US so $200 cheaper, will handle 500w and above for a clean sound, lighter, and if you run very little distortion like our man here would potentially be a great match for either DG heads or other heads. For the 900 flip the switch and it will attenuate the power.
You could look at Form Factor cabs for example, same config and power handling in ceramic or Neo depending on what weight you want, made in California.
The interesting thing is that I think thenCans are made in the UK, is it Barefaced doing it for them?!
It’s a bit of a weird one and definitely for the die hard distortion DG crowd to my mind, as there are a load of credible alternatives in this speaker format for anything else.

Thanks for your input! I have had my eyes on the M900 for a bit, but never actually ordered one to test it. What is that new amp you were speaking of? Have they announced that yesterday together with the cab series?

Looks like it's equal to the M900, save the arrangement of knobs.
Otherwise smaller than M900 but just a little bit (9 mm) taller. Master volume doesn't affect DI. A headphone output on the back!
For a new product they had better sound DAnM good at that weight! Misspelling intentional.
