That was the last list I could find of folks waiting to design a Roscoe with no strings attached. PD designed this one, so Darkstrike - you're up! Any top will do, or we can poll Gard for other tops if you're not feeling any of those.

After DS comes up with his design, the list will be:

4) CrashClint

You got it right, but it will have no inlays, and probably more than 4 strings.....

Alrighty Greg, how's about this top,

Swamp Ash body,
Standard Roscoe Neck, with a Wenge center,
Wenge Fretboard,
Classic Barts, for pickups,
Aguilar 3band pre,
Standard Black Hardware,
Emerald Green Finish.

I'm sure you can guess I'm aiming at a pretty agressive tone, yet should still be pretty versatile. :cool:

Four, or Five strings, thats the only question, four would balance a little better, but Roscoe fivers are where its at, popularity wise.

If I was buying it, I'd choose five, as I'm not too worried about neck dive, hmm........:hmm:

I like the way you work Bill. Quick, Fast & In A Hurry.:D I wouldn't mind being behind you in line for anything.

Folks annoy the hell outta me going to a McDonalds type place and staring blankly at the menu for 20 minutes trying to decide what they'd like:rolleyes:. You just want to stomp their toes and say "they've had the same menu for fifty years, and you STILL don't know what you want"

One of my fave colours, I've never come across one at the same time that I was in the market for an instrument before.

Now I know why.:hmm: Suprising, its perfectly understandable if you do want a finish change though.

What do you make of the 4 vs. 5 issue?

That's a good top, I'm sure it would work fine. I will poll Gard, though, to see if he has any more amazing quilted maple in stock. He had some stuff last time I was down there that was just goo-goo-ga-ga kinda stuff. He also had a bird in progress that had an INCREDIBLE top on it (quilted maple in trans-blue), so we've got to keep up with the jones's. This bird will not play second fiddle :)

With the darker colors (green, blue, black/gold), you really want a spectacular quilt that is light in color so that the figure still shines through after the color is applied. So let's see if Brother Gard has something immaculate to offer up...

Oh, fantastic, I didn't actually know you needed lighter coloured wood for darker finishes, when I was involved in woodwork, it was all oil, or clearcoats.

I'm sure you and Gard will have no trouble picking out a more suitable top.:)
