saw them earlier this month, they were very very very impressive live. real clean, tight, emotional.

amazing performance.

I heard they play Killing in the Name as part of their set, was this true for you too.

That song is annoyingly catchy, but I like it anyway. Almost got the album, but thought it wasn't worth it for just one song. Maybe I'll give it a secong listen though.

And plus one to the comment that rap is better when it approsaches rock than vice versa.

I got the album. I think it's great. Some great basslines on it too IMO. check out the bassline in the song combat. I went the next step with handlebars and learned it on bass!

There is no such thing as rock or hip-hop stations.

There is black people and white people stations, jeez guys, it's not that difficult to understand. More black people listen to hip-hop stations, and the Flobots appeal to more white people.

It really is that simple, that's why it's played on your rock station.

Today, 1st period of school, my friend asked if we could turn on the radio while we worked on our labs. So the teacher said yes, we turned on the local metal/hard rock station, 93.1. Just to hear "I can ride my bike with no handle bars, no handle bars" I've had this song in my head nonstop all day today. I have a killer headache because of this song.

Meh. I think she's another example of the fact that you take a decently attractive girl and put her onstage playing an instrument and she instantly becomes much, much hotter.

I liked the Flobots album when I first heard it, but (for me at least) it just didn't have staying power. I kind of tired of it much faster than with most albums I like. FWIW Vampire Weekend was the same way. Not really sure why.

I never liked them in the first place. Except that trumpet part. You cant go wrong with trumpet. Like this chick I saw playing last weekend. She played trumpet, and it didnt go wrong.
