Dating a Mesa

I'm going to buy a Mesa/Boogie Basis M-2000, from searching I noticed someone said that they had some issues in the first runs so I would like to know if this one is going to have them and any other informaton you could give me would be appreciated thanks!

Call Mesa, they can probably tell you the exact date that it was made. They did with the Mark IV guitar amp I used to own.

Beyond that, transformers, electrolytic capacitors and potentiometer cases often have date codes on them.
