Dating my peavey foundation 5?

About to post one in classifieds, but I'm not sure what year it is.....

USA made serial number is #10546382 so it is after 1995

It is loaded with VFL pickups, not super ferrites and has a circular string tree that A and D strings go under.

Anything after 1995 you'd have to email Peavey. Personally, I don't know if I'd bother. The bass was made between 1996-1999. Knowing the exact manufacture date isn't necessary to make a sale. The value of these basses aren't high enough to make something like the mfg. date matter. So, unless you need to know for personal curiosity, I'd just call it a '97 and leave it at that.

Ok thanks if it is only a 3 year gap then it doesn't matter

thanks

The date codes on the pots should give an approximate time frame of assembly. The pot date code would be around 0 to 6 months prior to assembly. The first two numbers are the year and the second two are the week in that year.
