David Ginyard's gear

I have gotten curious about how David Ginyard produces the remarkably mellow sound especially in his latest release with Aaron Parks with what seems to be a jazz bass type guitar.

The first video below contains a song titled Kid from the release, and the second link is a live performance of this same song. Can anyone recognize the bass he's using? Is he using any effects? The third link is a live performance of a totally different band that he's in. Watch for the bass solo at 3.16. It sounds like he seems to be using some effects here.

Hope the links are all working.

bump because I freaking love Aaron Parks! I saw this band in San Jose but they had a (local) fill in bass player who was also good.

unfortunately I don't know what he's playing but am also interested.

October 2019 I took these photos during a concert in The Hague. I can read 'custom' at his bass (when I zoom in) but I don't know which bass exactly.
