Seen Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, and Mullholland Drive. Not to mention a couple episodes of Twin Peaks.
He's an interesting director, though I get the feeling that he is allowed to get away with some of his inscrutable art-film pretension because he's famous for doing those sort of things--thematically his films make sense, but scenes here and there don't really add up to anything: The ending of Mullholland Drive, for example.
I love his visual style, and respect the fact that he's been able to have a hell of a lot of freedom since day one, but he's not someone who I watch on a regular basis.

I loved the first season of Twin Peaks, but then the network had to ruin it by forcing him to reveal Laura Palmers killer. Once they did that, the suspense was gone and the series died. But first season to me was really unique and groundbreaking. Blue Velvet was quite interesting too but that sex scene in the middle gave me Dennis Hopper creeps for years.
Yeah, I like all his stuff, except maybe Inland Empire. I need to see it again though, and in the meantime maybe someone can explain it to me?
lost highway came out in widescreen finally.......if dennis hopper creeped,check out robert blake,and robert loggia's mr eddy.......the trick is not to get too hung up on plot twists or twisted plots........buy the ticket,take the ride.......not even kubrick could set up a shot like lynch....
His films frighten the life out of me, they really do. That bit in Mulholland Drive, where the guy relives his nightmare by the diner...
I have to say I prefer his more mainstream efforts, The Elephant Man is just beautiful.
