Davie504 signature bass

Not sure if this has been posted (I haven't seen it) but Davie504 now has a signature bass made by Chowny. There are actually some cool colours available.

It's actually a part of the Retrovibe EVO range, it makes a change from typical P and J signature models.

I totally agree. Amongst the young generation that are interested in bass (think under 16s, there aren't many but they do exist ) there are tons more that know about Davie than Jaco.

I had the previous version, plain old Evo before Dave504 got involved. It was a fantastic bass, either 1 of 8 or 1 of 12.

Thanks JACink. Fella that bought it already had the yellow one. Blackness would be good but I'd prefer Blair castle,only place allowed a private army so my basses would be well protected. Mind you,I've been pretty handy myself at times

Funny story about Davie504.

When he first started playing bass he hit me up on YouTube and said I was a good bass player and asked a couple of questions.

I subbed to him on YouTube as well and saw him skyrocket.

I do respect for Davie 504 but he is not a great bass player to have a true signature instrument. He is a talented entertainer. This signature thing is going ridiculous.

I'd reserve judgment until you play one.

It's a GREAT bass. The original EVO and the DAVIE504 version of it have been redesigned from the ground up. They are light, 24 frets and strung through the body. They have '77 stinger pre-amp (based on the design for the original Stingray Pre-Amp before Ernie Balls) which also gives it great tone.

There'll be a review soon in Bass Guitar Magazine and I'll try post something from that in here when it comes in.

I've known Davie for a while - since we got in touch with him when we launched our first bass in 2015. So we did have an existing relationship with him before this.

We will be at NAMM in January so PLEASE come and try one out if you're attending. Davie504 will be joining us at our booth too if you fancy shaking his hand.
